UPDATE: This event is over. Thanks to all who have participated.

Open beta starts Friday 16th August, 6pm Tokyo, 5pm Singapore, 7pm Melbourne.
Be sure to start downloading the client as it becomes available today.
Start spamming the log in button half an hour before the official time, in case you get lucky :P
Spam it intensely from 5 minutes before, in experience they usually bring servers up a few minutes earlier than announced :3

A few minutes after log in, PM one of the mentors for your invite into the linkshell.

Note that if you have not played in the earlier beta phases or registered your code in July, you may need to wait until the 17th before being able to log in.

Concerning Rush Teams (1-20)

Rush starts 6pm JST (+9), briefing starts 5pm JST but be here at 4.30pm.

Mumble briefing for rush team 1, a headcount thread will be posted for everyone else so whoever's not here can be swapped.

I would advise all teams to have their own strategy meetings before open beta.

PM your teammates and join the same party upon log in. Wait a couple minutes then start PMing mentors for our free company's temporary linkshell. Remember to use the SAME CHARACTER NAME you used to register for this event.

If you have yet to save your character's appearance, do so now using the character creation benchmark. Shaves off precious minutes for the rush.

It is recommended you party up with teammates in your immediate area to get to level 15 faster. Upon reaching level 15, use guildhests to pull up any stragglers to level 15, and start doing dungeons. Besides solo-only instances, you should now stick together all the way from 15 to 20, including the quests after you're done with the instances. As level is capped at 20, do NOT do the level 20 guildheists, save them for early access.

If you are signed up for the rush, you will receive your vanguard points upon reaching level 20 so long as you turned up within the opening 15 minutes of open beta and achieve level 20 by Sunday Noon (AEST +10). This applies for people on the reserve list as well. Whether or not your team showed up, whether or not you failed hard and took 16 hours, your heroic no-sleep no-breaks effort will be recognized so long as you are signed up and attempted to rush.

Please refer to the old thread for more details.

Good luck people, and Godspeed.

We are Mirai, we are the future! Go forth and be among the first to conquer that future that is the Seventh Umbral Era!

A quick question here, lets say if i didn't sign up for the rush in the rush thread but managed to level to 20(along with sub class, DoH, and DoL) before sunday, will i still be available for the vanguard point?

Well, according to the rules you have to sign up as well. Dunno if they will change or bend that though

Nope. Unless you intend to rush (from the get go, no sleep, 1-20), in which case PM me now and I will add you to the list, we have open healer positions or you could go on reserve.
Also rushers get the vanguard point once they get one class to level 20, which is the scope of the event.

I must admit, i really didn't saw the rush thread post until now, was busy for the past few days(aunt funeral, sis's registration into college, shopping for upgrades for rig life etc.) and didn't have much time to look through the forum much.

Maybe if the rush thread was display on the main page like this thread, it will be easier for everyone to notice and sign up the moment they saw it(especially for those new member who joined in the last few days). After all, this is consider to be a guild event that encourages as many people as possible to participate right?
